Carrying up to 106 passengers, E7V’s are assigned to long distance shuttle flights between Europe and the United States and across the pacific to Japan. That new shaped nose contains radar. The top speed of this turbo compound engine transport, like its sister ship Super Constellations on the airlines, exceeds 370 m.p.h. Around 18 tons of cargo can be stowed in its huge fuselage when passenger seats are removed, or it can be fitted to carry up to 73 patients on hospital litters when used as a hospital plane.
